It started with one flight, one kid, and a promise to do it again.
Why we exist
Helicopters for Hope was born from a simple idea: that no child should miss the chance to see the world from above just because their family can't afford it — or because time is running out.
We started by flying one child. Then a few more. Today our pilots, mechanics, and volunteers fly children from across the country, free of charge, over the places that matter to them.
But flying kids was only half the dream. We've also watched too many talented young adults give up on aviation because of the cost of training. So we built a second program — and we put our money behind it.
Our partner
Happy Helicopters LLC is our sister company and the operational backbone behind every flight. They provide the aircraft, the certified pilots, the maintenance crews — and the jobs that wait for every Wings Scholarship graduate.
Because of that partnership, 100% of donations go directly to flying kids and training scholarship pilots.
